Docutech builds confidence in digital transformation

22 December 2021 by Office Tech & Space

With most UK law firms adopting a hybrid working model – and the focus on permanent job flexibility for all workers – it’s never been more important for firms to protect their data and make their systems more efficient and compliant.

Tameside-headquartered Docutech Office Solutions – UK leader of secure electronic management systems – is seeing Docuflo software transform operational efficiencies across the board.

This pioneering cloud-based document management and workflow automation solution digitises and secures GDPR-compliant data in a central accessible location.

It improves company efficiency and productivity – and therefore profitability – by providing employees with centralised, secure and instant access to documents and processes, whether they’re in the office, working from home or out and about on a mobile app.

Using the latest technology documents can be scanned, sent, received and retrieved through a secure portal with end-to-end encryption. This means the document can only be accessed by authorised users.

It also integrates with other Microsoft applications – as well as most accounting software – for seamless information sharing, allowing documents to be edited and shared, as well as for private information to be withheld.

Confidence is building in these digital-based processes, none more so than in the adoption of e-signature software, which is providing speedy, compliant and confidential document signing across the board.

As part of ongoing digital solutions brief for The Growth Company in Manchester, Docutech supports its Apprenticeship Scheme, facilitating e-signatures on contracts between apprentices and employers and playing a key role in the efficient, secure and timely placement of hundreds of young people.

Jason Dixon, Managing Director of Docutech Office Solutions, said: “As we all navigate our way in a new post pandemic world, there is growing understanding among law firms about how to use digitised processes which is helping to prevent data from being misused or mislaid, supporting staff efficiency and productivity and driving better business performance.”

Tameside businesses welcome workspace vision for Dukinfield

22 December 2021 by Office Tech & Space

EVJ Training Academy and Unilever’s ‘ice cream team’ have given Dukinfield’s newest, best connected workspace a thumbs up by taking office accommodation in the building.

Representatives from both organisations joined local business owners, freelancers and hybrid workers from across Tameside at an informal early viewing of the Office Tech & Space environment on Globe Street last week.

EVJ is a leading beauty and aesthetics training business offering world class courses in everything from your classic lash lift and tint to ground-breaking health boosting treatments.

The company was formerly in Stalybridge, but now has much more space to run beauty courses for students from across the Borough.

A spokesperson for EVJ said: “All our tutors do the courses here now, there is ample parking and good local public transport links which makes it easy for people to get to us. It’s also great to have access to the cafe and bistro on site and breakout areas for our admin team. It’s just seven minutes from Stalybridge, but a world away from our old offices, professional, modern with excellent facilities.”

Unilever’s Steve James, National Operations Manager UK & IRE, said all 15 staff in the company’s Away From Home team had moved across from former offices in Trafford Park.

The specialist division deals with supply and management of commercial freezers in retailers from where they sell their famous ice cream brands like Walls, Ben & Jerry’s and Carte d’Or.

He said: “Working in Trafford Park meant long commutes for many of our team – some 1.5 hours on the road – so moving in here has cut that journey and given us our work life balance back.

“It’s a bright, well equipped environment and, now we have a cafe on site, we don’t have far to go for all day snacks and refreshments. In fact we have booked our Christmas party there already.”

Babuskas is a 46-seater bistro restaurant and bar on the first floor, just next to the co-worker space, serving drinks and meals with a focus on health and nutrition. Genko is a coffee bar in the main reception serving lighter snacks, including pizza.

The Unilever team is also looking at using the PO Box services on offer and welcoming seasonal workers next summer as well as colleagues from other parts of Unilever who want to use the space for meetings.

Jason Dixon, CEO of Office Tech Holdings, whose vision it was to create a mix of traditional office space and light-of-touch services for a new generation of workers, said he was delighted that people were benefiting.

He said: “As well as serving established businesses we know we can provide for an army of people working from back bedrooms, or from dining room tables, who need somewhere else to go as part of a commute-free, flexible working life.”

Membership fees at Office Tech & Space start at around £70 a month and members will be able to use the cohab workspace as they see fit on a ‘come and go’ basis. At full capacity it expects to accommodate up to 600 people on varying flexible deals.

Located just two miles from the M60 and seven miles from Manchester city centre the offices have on-site parking and are equipped with super-fast Wi-Fi and broadband. There are also PO box facilities with digital inbound and outbound mail services, printing services and conference space.

The cohab workspaces are backed up with all the services, tech solutions and support required to help companies operate seamlessly, efficiently and compliantly.

Jason again: “We have kept it extremely cost effective. This will be a vibrant business community hub with access to everything you need for less than the price of a cup of coffee a day.”

The full refurbishment is expected to be completed by the end of January 2022.

Lift for hybrid workers of Tameside

26 November 2021 by Office Tech & Space

People from Tameside working from back bedrooms or from dining room tables as part of a flexible deal from employers now have another option to consider.

Office Tech & Space on Globe Street in Dukinfield has had a £multi-million makeover to provide light of touch office services to a new generation of workers.

So forget the two hour commute and stresses of trying to achieve a good work life balance, all that you need from flexible office accommodation is just around the corner.

The brainchild of Jason Dixon, CEO of Office Tech Holdings and an MLS Advantage member the new Office Tech and Space building is now open for viewing and interested parties are invited to come along to an Open Evening next Thursday 2nd December from 6pm-9pm.

People attending the informal drop in event can enjoy fizz, canapes and light refreshments to mark the latest stage in the building’s ambitious renovation programme and talk to experts on the ground about its benefits and packages.

The offices will have on-site parking and be equipped with super-fast Wi-Fi and broadband. There will be PO box facilities with digital inbound and outbound mail services, printing services and conference space, as well as a 46-seat bistro and coffee shop with the focus on healthy, nutritional meals.

Located just two miles from the M60 and seven miles from Manchester city centre the hybrid workspace has been designed for businesses looking to downsize their office space and smaller businesses, freelancers and individuals that want to benefit from local office facilities and up-to-date technology at an affordable pay-as-you go price, without committing to larger long term fixed overheads.

Jason said: “The pandemic has fundamentally changed how, when and where we work, and we know that not everyone is working from home as productively and compliantly as they could. We hope that as many people as possible will come and have a look next week and look to use the facility when it opens fully at the end of January 2022.

“It aims to provide high spec workspace to support regional businesses that are switching to a hybrid work model – cutting down on lengthy commutes and expensive parking – as well as for those younger, smaller businesses that want to enjoy working in a more professional and secure environment.”

The cohab workspaces are backed up with all the services, tech solutions and support required to help companies operate seamlessly, efficiently and compliantly.
Office Tech Holdings recently announced the appointment of Sarah Bennsir as the new Food & Beverage Manager at the fast-growing business hub. Sarah Bennsir joins Office Tech Holdings having previously worked at Macdonald Hotels and as an HR Manager at Tesco.

Sarah will head up the on-site restaurant, Babushka’s Lounge and Bar and will be responsible for recruiting the entire hospitality team, including chefs and front of house staff as well as devising a successful menu.

Sarah said: “It’s great to be a part of the Office Tech & Space project. It is no doubt going to be challenging, but extremely rewarding.”

Membership fees at Office Tech & Space start at around £70 a month and members will be able to use the cohab workspace as they see fit on a ‘come and go’ basis. At full capacity it expects to accommodate up to 600 people on varying flexible deals.

Jason again: “We have kept it extremely cost effective. This will be a vibrant business community hub with access to everything you need for less than the price of a cup of coffee a day.”

The space is also commercial home to EVJ Training Academy, specialists in beauty and aesthetics courses, and Unilever’s away from home division, known colloquially as the ice cream team!

Jason has also set up a membership offer with Hyde-based gym, Ultimate Fitness, to give customers a one day free pass and 20% off the cost of a respective membership.
